The clocks go back that morning. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep!
We’ll assemble our second annual All Saints’ Altar; bring your loved ones’ photos, or those of saints you venerate, to place on the altar so we can all keep them in our prayers.
Note that incense will be used at the 10:00 am service.
At 4:00 pm, we’ll celebrate our Patronal Evensong with the Right Rev’d Victor-David Mbuyi Bipungu, XIII Bishop of Montreal, preaching, and a light reception to follow.
The Annual Roast Beef Dinner is Just Around the Corner! On Sat. Oct.18, at 5:30 pm. plan on joining with your family and friends, for a wonderful evening of great food and fellowship.

"Please confirm by Wednesday, October 15 so I can have an idea of numbers for shopping. Generally, come at 8 to help with cooking and set up. Come at 9 to eat and stay to help clean up. Looking forward to seeing you all again.
This is the same day as the Roast Beef Dinner.
So, after breakfast we will set up the tables for the evening dinner. Please confirm with Ross that you are able to stay and help prepare vegetables.
There will be no breakfast in November. Please offer to help Marie-Claude and the team organizing the Christmas Bazaar on November 15."
St. Michael's Food of the Month for October is Kraft Dinner or Ramen
The Second Annual Stewardship Brunch will take place after church on October 26, with a presentation from the Rev’d Canon Jim Pratt. Please plan to bring a dish to share! And due to the postal strike, we will be doing our best to distribute stewardship materials by having them available at the back of the church – be on the lookout for yours!
A New Confirmation Class is starting up! If you are over age 12 and have not been confirmed (or if you have been confirmed in a different branch of the Church and would like to be received into the Anglican Church) please let Grace know by the end of October! The schedule will be determined by the availability of the participants.
Church Project Updates
Thanksgiving Blessings - Thank you to everyone who donated the produce decorating the church this Sunday. Following the service all the produce will be donated to the Omega Day Centre in Dorval.
Special Appreciation goes to Darlene Scott, the head of our Outreach Program who makes all these donation programs happen.
The Roof is Good to Go. Our permit is now safely in hand and the scaffolding will start to go up next Friday . The following Monday (20th ), the actual work begins on the southeast side of the chapel.
Downstairs Lighting & Ceiling Tile Replacement - The Steering Committee met again this week to finalize some details and capture approximate costs. The next step was to pass the information along to the Corporation who will present the information to the congregation on Oct 26.
Front Door - It's in the works! The plans include installing a new locking mechanism, which will eliminate the need for keys, and a handicap push button entry / exit system. As soon as the installation date is established, we will reach out to all the current key holders to support the transition.
