WHAT'S  NEW?

EXCITING NEWS!!  The Diocese of Montreal cares about church communities.  It desires that churches should be free of harassment, abuse, and other conduct that is harmful or injurious to church members.  OUR DIOCESAN OMBUDSPERSON IS NOW HERE FOR YOU.

The Ombudsperson is an impartial, independent official tasked with receiving and investigating complaints of harassment and other harmful behaviours.  This service is free and confidential.  Our diocesan ombudsperson is Judy Yankowski.  You can learn more at
www.montreal.anglican.ca/ombudsman

The Local Safe Church Officer at All Saints by the Lake is Phyllis Hidichuk.  If you have any questions about the role of Safe Church in our parish, feel welcome to speak with Phyllis.  To access the diocesan Safe Church Policy, go to
www.montreal.anglican.ca/safe-church

* 20 x 20 Campaign FAQ's (Frequently asked questions) Do you have questions about the 20 x 20 Campaign? Click on the link below for more information or,  call Marie-Claude at 514- 261-2364  email   marieclaudemartz@gmail.com

The official launch of the Campaign  will be at the Spaghetti Dinner on March 15

**The Next Messy Church  is this evening, March 6. If you’ve never attended, come check it out! 5:30-7:30 PM, with a Bible story, activities, and dinner. Aimed at ages 3-10, but ALL are welcome – babies, teenagers, parents, grandparents, friends!

**On Sunday March 8, Grace will lead a discussion on the upcoming Holy Week and Easter services during the formation time before church. If you’ve ever had questions about why we do what we do, come and find out the answers!

St Michael's Mission - Food of the Month is Kraft Dinner or Ramen Noodles

**New! The parish has a new YouTube channel! We’ve created this channel so as to be able to livestream the Sing-a-Thon that Chris, Dion and Grace are planning for the end of May, but who knows what other uses we might discover for it! In order to be able to livestream, we need people to subscribe, so if you use YouTube at all (or even if you don’t!), head on over to https://www.youtube.com/@AllSaintsbytheLakeDorval and hit the “subscribe” button. Thank you!

**Change to front Door Lock  - Well, by now you've realized the front door lock change  didn't happen last Friday but the good news is it's happening as we speak! It's exciting but also a little nerve wracking for those who have had a key in their pocket for the last 50 years. No worries,  its easy!  When you approach the front doors look to the left. There is  a "key pad" with numbers on it.  Enter the code and the right hand door will open. We are still waiting on the handicap buttons, but the threshold of the door has already been changed to allow wheelchairs to easily roll into the church.
Note -This change does not effect the alarm system. You must still put in your regular code.

**Sign-Up Sheets for PALM SUNDAY and for the MAUNDY THURSDAY NIGHT WATCH are up! If you can bring snacks, help herd children, or keep watch before the Reserved Sacrament in the chapel for an hour, please put your name down!

**Stations of the Cross will take place on the evening of Tuesday, March 31 beginning at 7:00 pm

Spaghetti Diner Update  - Can you lend a hand?  We are looking for help with setup,  kitchen duties and clean up.
Please contact  Marie-Claude Martz at marieclaudemartz@gmail.com  (514)-261-2364  or

**There is No Cost for the meal, but a" free will" offering at the door will be appreciated. You can use debit, credit card or of course, cash. If you would like to use e-transfer, please note what the donation is for. Let us know how many people are coming by signing up  on the sheet in the Narthex.

** Annual Lay Reader Retreat  - Annually the Lay Readers Association of the Diocese organizes a retreat. Attached are the information sheets and registration forms. The event is for all who are interested. Please take a look and if you have questions speak to Mark Weatherley or one of the other Lay Readers.  You can reach Mark at  mark.weatherley@sympatico.ca

The Christian Gospel in Works of Contemporary Culture -This course, now refreshed with new movies, music, and media, explores how modern storytelling echoes—or challenges—the good news of Jesus. Engage with cultural works, reflect on their messages, and see how Scripture, theology, and faith intersect with today’s North American life.

"We will meet for 5 consecutive weeks on Wednesday evenings, beginning on February 25th and ending on March 25th. It begins at 7:00pm (Montreal time) each week and will end by 8:30pm. The Zoom link will be the same each week. We strongly encourage you to participate in each class while it is happening. However, if you are unable to make a session, each will be recorded and made available for later viewing"

We'll be starting out with enjoying each other's company, but our long term goal is to see if we can develop crafting into something that could support one of our charities, be sold at our events, or simply enjoyed by the group. Bring your crafts & ideas and we'll see you there!  Questions?

Please bring your bible and your prayer book for the psalms (you could use the version in your bible)
