Christmas  Bazaar  Updates

Our Christmas Bazaar is happening on Sat. Nov 15, from 9-2 pm and is actually only 2 weeks away.  Plans are well under way, but we still need your help.

What Can I Do?
Spread the Word -  Invite family, friends and plan to attend.  Pick up some posters from the Narthex and post them in your building or local stores.

Email the Poster to your Facebook group,  friends, community notice board, school, or hockey parents group. Every connection helps! (link is below)

Donate New or Gently Used  gifts,  books,  puzzles,  household items,  glassware, crystal, vases,  platters,  figurines,  children's toys,  books,  jewelry or any  other fun things you have hiding in your closet. You can drop off your donation to the church  Tues - Friday (9:30 - 3:30) or Sunday morning before service. (No clothing please)

Mugs Needed! We are looking for donations of new or nearly new mugs, especially Christmas mugs.  These will be transformed into gift mugs for sale at the bazaar.   Please drop your donation off at the church or give them to Marie-Claude or Laura Hill.
And, if you have any individually wrapped mini chocolate bars left over from Halloween, please consider donating them as well (after Halloween, of course!).

Baking - Home baking is by far our biggest money maker.  Everyone loves  to stock their freezer up for Christmas or just nibble on a special treat.
Your donation  doesn't have to be fancy or even a large quantity. Cookies, brownies, preserves, bars, scones ... you decide what you would like to make.
Do you have friends that like to bake?  Would they help us out?
For more information contact Lillian Rhodes at  *514-684-6819
or
lilken.rhodes@sympatico.ca
*Corrected phone number from last week

On Site Bakers Needed- We will be baking mini loaves to sell at the bazaar.  Baking will take place at church.  If you would like to be part of the baking team, please advise Laura Hill at llhill.mtl@gmail.com or 514-694-6255.
Choose the date(s) that works best for you!
Tuesday, Nov 4 or 11, starting at 6:30 or 7:00PM
Wednesday, Nov 5, starting at 6:30 or 7:00PM

Lend Us A Hand- We need people to help sort,  price and get our treasures  ready for the sale. You don't necessarily have to be big, strong or even work for a long period of time. We have a long list of jobs to choose from, and can find the perfect one for you! Contact Marie-Claude Martz at 514-261-2364 or marieclaudemartz@gmail.com

Sales - Sale day is actually a lot of fun. People come from all over to  purchase  gifts and kick off the Christmas season. The atmosphere is great with lots of laughter,  hustle,  bustle and of course, Christmas music. Please join us on Bazaar day to help sell our goodies and make it a record breaking fundraiser! Contact Marie-Claude Martz at 514-261-2364 or  marieclaudemartz@gmail.com

  Project Updates

Downstairs Work - The church held a Special Vestry Meeting  last week to review,  discuss, and vote on  moving forward with this project.  The vote resulted in a decision to approve the project.
Thank you to everyone who brought questions, concerns and voiced their opinions.  Phase 1  will begin early in the new year with more information to follow shortly.

The New Roof is Coming Along.  Although the weather has been a challenge, things are progressing well.  Next week they will be working on the removal of the rest of the roof  (parking lot side) and then it will be "on to the shingles".
Along With Their Regular Work they will be removing the existing chimney.  It no longer serves any purpose,  so it was decided to just knock it down and take advantage of the timing.
Skids of Materials have also arrived and are  being stored  in the parking area.  We appreciate your patience around the parking challenges

Front Door Lock - We are still waiting on an installation date but are expecting it to place some time next week.
